In its early days the Cannabis industry was home to impressive numbers of female executives in every facet of the market. However, they were typically the wives of wealthy, Caucasian men.

As legalization and acceptance of marijuana expands across the United States, the once fertile landscape for women has been growing dry.

As the potential to make big money becomes even more apparent, large, corporate players have entered the space and have brought a return to gender discrimination.
